Isn’t it interesting that we declare that glory was to be given to God in the beginning?
We weren’t here. Nothing existed except God.
I would say that all creation exists because of the glory of God.
It’s not because we give it to Him. In a very real sense, God doesn’t need us at all.
Except He does. God is love, and love needs deep relationship.
Of course God can and does love all creation, including the rocks and plants and vastness of deep space. But it’s something special to love beings who can love back. Freely.
That’s why humans are special, perhaps unique. And we express not only love, but awe and humility and gratitude.
And praise for His glory.
