We’re entering our time of repentance, reflection, and renewal.
Seems like a lot of “re-” – right?
That’s because life runs in cycles. How wonderful that the Church understands this and runs her years in the same way!
I’m looking to reboot. My outlook, my practices, my spiritual grounding. And not in a “gee, I hope I get it right this time” kind of way. Because that would be all about looking backward and regretting my life decisions thus far.
No, our Lord is about looking forward to living with Him eternally. My actions will be focused on making a better future for everyone I touch.
That’s what my Lent will be about this year!
